Where you go to church matters.

Scripture tells us in proverbs that Iron sharpens iron. It also tells us that we should not forsake the assembling of Gods people. Why? For one, we need each other.
I have many times gotten so wrapped up in life that I did forsake the assembling of like minded, Christian people - my church family. Not because I wanted to per say, but because I was so overwhelmed by everything going on in my life I just didn’t have the time or energy to make it most days.
So I fell into what so many others do. Self Churching myself. I told my self I was good because I was still reading my bible and praying every day. I didn’t HAVE to have the church to be strong and walking righteously with God.
Can I just admit, that’s absolutely incorrect! God told us not to forsake being with His people for a reason. We need the hugs, words of encouragement, teachings, all of what the church as a body offers. Especially when life overwhelms us!
You see the reason for the church is for times such as those. To lift each other up and support each other through this thing called life. When life gets to be too much, we have fellow Christians to help us. That will give us what we need to get through what ever we go through. Sharing our testimony and encouragement with each other.
Now the lie comes straight from hell because overwhelming us is exactly what Satan wants to do. If he can get us off our game, too busy, too consumed with life, overwhelmed, or whatever distractions he can throw on us, and we decline in assembling ourselves, he starts winning. He knows if we stay away from God’s people with encouragement and wisdom, he will eventually win over our minds.
Be cautious people. He’s sly. He knows all of the tricks. He’s had YEARS to master it and there’s nothing new under the sun or SON. You can not successfully Home Church yourself. There’s no such thing. We all need the full body.
Take this word of wisdom: don’t forsake the assembling of Gods people.
Hebrews 10:25 King James Version (KJV) 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
(We will need each other more and more as the end of this crazy evil world comes closer. Life will get even more overwhelming. Don’t fall for Satan’s trick!)
Proverbs 27:17 MEV
“Iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.”
With words of encouragement, help of what ever is needed, healing, deliverance, teaching God’s word and so much more.
