The Process to Your Purpose

Sometimes we find ourselves hating where we are in live. Hating all the pain, hurt, confusion or just life in general. There’s time in our lives we just pray we survive to get through them.

I remember very well in my youth as I prayed and prayed for God to deliver me from everything that was going on. The sexual and mental abuse from Dad was bad but honestly just being an adolescent is rough at times.

We don’t have to be a victim of child abuse or had a really catastrophic event happen in our lives to not hate being “us” at any particular time. We are all called to something and all have a testimony.

I’ve heard some of the most powerful testimonies from people that have never really been through anything tragic, but how hard it was for them to be normal. To be saved and trying to live a holy life in an evil and messed up world.

One thing we ALL have in common is the “PROCESS TO OUR PURPOSE”. I couldn’t and wouldn’t be an advocate for the abused had I not been abused as a child. I also wouldn’t think nearly as much about prolife if I hadn’t had an abortion. I believe all of this is lining up with God’s word which says (paraphrasing) that He turns our mess into a message, He uses our test to create our testimony if we trust Him. He takes what we have done and uses for His glory! He turns it around and uses it for our good!

Hating the events we’ve had to live through is absolutely justifiable. But that’s what got us to our purpose.

Now, when I look in the eyes of other women hurting and I tell them that Jesus loves them just where they are and how He wants to redeem them! I wouldn’t change my past for anything. It truly has made me who I am today. In all of my dysfunction, I know how to love the dysfunctional. But in all of His glory, I also know how to love His children.

Through the process, we BECAME the product of our Purpose! I love my purpose. Thank God for calling and choosing me!

USE ME LORD!
