Sometimes people just won’t like you and it’s not your fault!

We all have those people in our lives that smirk every time we walk by or dodge us at all cost if we run into them out in public. They just don’t like us!
Why don’t they like us and how do we fix it??
Jealousy is the biggest reason most people choose not to like us when they don’t even know us. They don’t even give us the time to get to know us to make a logical decision if they like us. We didn’t do anything to most of these people. They are jealous of some area of our lives.
Now for the ones that don’t like us that we have offended, we need to address that and make it right. Apologize for our offense and try to mend that relationship. Relationship is the most important thing God wants us to take care of.
But the other ones, there’s nothing - NOTHING - we can do to fix those. Why?? Because WE didn’t do anything to make them feel that way.
I’ve found out in my own life, the nicer I am to them, the more I do for them, the more they don’t like me. I’ve had my own family block me from social media and stay away from family gatherings if I go simply because they choose to. And that’s their right. I can’t stop them.
We have to let that go! We should not take responsibility for someone else’s dysfunction. That is their own personal problem and we will only make it worse if we address it with them.
Pray for them. the only action we can take is prayer. But for sure do not allow it to hinder you and what you are doing! People will be people regardless of how we are and act. We have to stay in our purpose and walk our walk with God. No one can do that for us and no one can judge that! God has only told me what my purpose is and how to carry it out. He didn’t tell anyone else. Therefore it makes it no one else’s business. Make sense?
Remember the 7 deadly sins, envy and jealousy are part of those. Pray for the ones that don’t like you for no reason at all. But don’t accept an offense from one. It will only hinder you and they’d love that more than anything. Jealousy and envy are tools the enemy uses against us. To hurt the one suffering from it and hinder the one trying to help that one.
Be wise. Be not offended and keep being you. The wonderful creation God created to walk in such a purpose as you do! Don’t let people change you, let God!
